Steelers Coach Mike McCarthy Injured During Game Against Buccaneers
During a recent game against the Buccaneers, Steelers coach Mike McCarthy sustained an ankle injury and spent halftime in the medical tent instead of the locker room.
McCarthy began to limp while heading to the locker room and required assistance to reach the medical tent. He did not communicate with the team during halftime. Despite the injury, he returned to the sidelines for the second half and resumed his role as the offensive playcaller.
The injury occurred during a challenging first half for the Steelers, who were trailing 13-3 at halftime. The team struggled offensively, gaining only 102 yards and failing to convert on multiple third and fourth downs. Buccaneers quarterback Jalon Daniels had a strong performance, completing nine consecutive passes and throwing the first touchdown of the game.
