Steelers Designate Safety DeShon Elliott for Return from Injured Reserve
Safety DeShon Elliott has returned to practice with the Pittsburgh Steelers after being designated for return from injured reserve.
The announcement was made on Thursday, following Elliott's placement on the injured reserve list on August 30. He had previously missed most of the last season due to knee and hamstring injuries, although he participated in training camp and played during the preseason before being sidelined.
Last season, Elliott recorded 38 tackles, an interception, a sack, and a forced fumble in five games. He started 14 games in 2024 and has also played for the Dolphins, Lions, and Ravens. The Steelers have a 21-day window to activate him, or he will be ineligible to play this season.
