Steelers WR Michael Pittman Jr. to Miss Multiple Games Due to Foot Injury
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. will not participate in the upcoming game against the Indianapolis Colts and is expected to miss additional games due to a foot injury.
Head coach Mike McCarthy confirmed that Pittman re-injured the same foot, indicating it will be a multiple-week recovery. The team is currently assessing his roster status and whether he may need to be placed on injured reserve.
Pittman was acquired by the Steelers in March and signed a three-year contract extension worth $59 million. However, his performance this season has been underwhelming, with only seven receptions for 89 yards. Previously, he had two seasons with over 1,000 receiving yards while playing for the Colts, but his output has declined in recent years.
