Stella Orrin Celebrates Wales Debut Amid Emotional Moments
Stella Orrin, a 20-year-old prop, made her senior debut for Wales during a match against the Barbarians, marking a significant milestone in her rugby career. The announcement of her inclusion in the matchday squad brought tears of joy, prompting Wales head coach Sean Lynn to ensure she understood the news.
Orrin's debut took place at Twickenham, where she expressed that it was the best day of her life. She has been working hard to earn the opportunity to wear the Welsh jersey, a moment she has long awaited. Although she did not play in a capped Test match, she is hopeful for future opportunities in the upcoming WXV Global Series against South Africa, USA, and Japan.
Her journey in rugby began at age 13, inspired by her father, who played social rugby. Orrin credits her family for their unwavering support, as they attend all her games. Currently, she is training with the senior squad, preparing for the season ahead, and appreciates the guidance from experienced players as she transitions from age-grade rugby.
