Stephen Daley Returns to Indiana Hoosiers for 2026 Season

The Indiana Hoosiers have received positive news as defensive lineman Stephen Daley is set to return for the 2026 season. This announcement was made on Tuesday, highlighting a significant boost for the team as they aim to defend their championship.

Daley, who was part of the 2022 recruiting class, is taking advantage of a new NCAA rule that allows student-athletes to extend their eligibility. This rule permits athletes to start their eligibility clock upon full-time enrollment or at the start of the academic year following their 19th birthday, giving them five years to compete in five seasons.

The preliminary injunction related to this rule has enabled Daley and other 2022 recruits to play an additional season. Last year, Daley led the Hoosiers with 19 tackles for loss and recorded 5.5 sacks, showcasing his impact on the team's defensive lineup.
