Steve Keim Linked to Deceased Alleged Scam Artist
Steve Keim, the former general manager of the Arizona Cardinals, has been linked to Mohamed Coulibaly, who was recently found dead in his pool. Coulibaly was allegedly involved in a scam that misled professional athletes into investing in fictitious Shopify stores, according to a July 15 investigation by Jacob Adelman from Barron’s.
The investigation revealed that Coulibaly's company, Motion Ventures, falsely inflated sales figures to appear more profitable. One example cited involved a dubious order for 100 desktop humidifiers and 120 USB-powered cup warmers, which was never placed by the individual at the listed shipping address. Three former NFL players reported losing over $1 million collectively due to investments in Motion Ventures.
Keim's association with the business is documented in a pitch deck from November 2025, where he is identified as the chief operation/growth officer. The deck highlights his role in guiding expansion strategies and managing significant budgets. Despite the allegations, no arrests or charges have been made regarding the scam or Coulibaly's death.
