Steve Sarkisian Compares Jeremiah Smith to Randy Moss
Texas Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian recently compared Ohio State receiver Jeremiah Smith to NFL great Randy Moss after Smith's impressive performance against Texas on September 12, where he recorded eight receptions for 164 yards and a touchdown.
The Longhorns narrowly won the game 24-23, and Sarkisian highlighted Smith's attributes, noting his length, strength, speed, and ability to adjust to the ball. Smith, who stands at 6-foot-4 and weighs 222 pounds, has been a standout player this season, leading the nation with 44 catches, 823 yards, and nine touchdowns.
Sarkisian reflected on Texas's defensive strategy against Smith, acknowledging the challenges posed by his playmaking ability. He mentioned that the Longhorns managed to secure a win despite Smith's typical performance. Texas will only face Smith again if both teams meet in the College Football Playoff.
