Steven Asplund marked his return to the win column at UFC Vegas 120 with a decision victory against Guilherme Pat.

Asplund, a heavyweight contender who previously weighed as much as 525 pounds, has successfully reduced his weight to below the 265-pound limit. In the fight, he nearly knocked Pat out in the first round but faced challenges as Pat took control in the second round, even dropping Asplund. However, Asplund rebounded in the third round, landing a knockdown that contributed to his unanimous decision win with a score of 29-28.

This victory comes after Asplund's first UFC defeat in March against Vitor Petrino, where he attributed his loss to arrogance. He returned to the same venue, the Meta Apex, and demonstrated a strong start, aiming for a finish early in the fight.
