Stoke City's Ben Wilmot Remains Optimistic After Loss to Middlesbrough

Stoke City defender Ben Wilmot has expressed optimism about the team's prospects after experiencing their first defeat in almost two months against Middlesbrough. The match ended with an injury-time goal from Middlesbrough at the Bet365 Stadium, halting Stoke's impressive run of 16 points from 18 available.

Wilmot noted that despite the loss, the team performed well and felt they deserved at least a draw. He acknowledged that while they started slowly, they improved in the second half. Stoke City is set to face the Championship's bottom two teams in their next three matches, which Wilmot believes will provide an opportunity to regain their winning form.

Looking ahead, Stoke's next match is against Derby County, followed by home games against Bristol City and Preston North End, who currently sit at the bottom of the league.
