Sunderland Aims for Europa League Victory Against Lech Poznań

Sunderland will face Lech Poznań in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at the Stadion Poznań, with kickoff scheduled for 5:45 PM BST. The match will be broadcast live on TNT Sports in the UK and Paramount+ in the US.

Despite struggling in the Premier League, where they are currently in the relegation zone after four consecutive losses, Sunderland has maintained a perfect record in the Europa League. They secured a 1-0 victory over AZ Alkmaar and came back to win 2-1 against Torreense. Coach Régis Le Bris expressed concern over the team's recent domestic performance, describing it as a challenging phase.

In contrast, Lech Poznań has excelled in their domestic league, winning their last three matches by significant margins. However, they have faced difficulties in Europe, losing their first two matches by 4-0 scores and sitting at the bottom of their group without scoring a goal. This match marks the first encounter between the two clubs.
