Sunderland Signs Midfielder Jules Ahoka from Royal Antwerp

Sunderland has announced the signing of midfielder Jules Ahoka from Belgian club Royal Antwerp for a transfer fee of 10 million euros (£8.6 million). The 20-year-old, who is a youth international for DR Congo, has committed to a long-term contract with the Black Cats.

Ahoka expressed his excitement about joining Sunderland, highlighting the club's ambitions and his eagerness to learn and develop as a player. He is the third player to join Sunderland this summer, following the signings of Belgian left-back Thomas Meunier and French right-back Dayann Methalie.

Sunderland's director of football, Florent Ghisolfi, noted that Ahoka has shown promising qualities for his age and believes that Sunderland provides the right environment for his growth. The team recently faced a defeat against Ipswich in their Premier League opener and will play against Fulham next.
