Sunderland to Sign Kevin Danso on Loan from Tottenham

Sunderland is nearing the completion of a season-long loan agreement for defender Kevin Danso from Tottenham Hotspur.

Initially, Tottenham had turned down Sunderland's first loan request for the 27-year-old player. However, following renewed discussions, both clubs have reached an agreement that allows Danso to join Sunderland, with an option for a permanent transfer.

The transfer was facilitated by Tottenham's upcoming acquisition of centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo from Chelsea, which made it possible for Danso to leave, as Spurs were previously hesitant to let him go without securing a replacement.
