Suraj Narredu Achieves First JRA Victory in Japan

Jockey Suraj Narredu marked a significant milestone in his career by securing his first victory with the Japan Racing Association (JRA) at Sapporo Racecourse on August 22.

In this race, Narredu rode Fier Chanter, trained by Kensuke Ogura, to triumph in a 2,600m event for three-year-old maidens. This victory came after he finished fourth in his initial race aboard Mont Royal.

During the 2026 World All-Star Jockeys Championship, Narredu earned 10 points from his performances, placing him ninth in the standings after the first day. He is set to compete in four additional races at Sapporo, including two more championship legs scheduled for August 23.
