Suunto Race 3S Review: Features and Pricing Analysis
Suunto has introduced the Suunto Race 3S, a compact smartwatch that comes with a significant price increase compared to its predecessor, the Suunto Race S. This new model features enhancements such as a brighter display, improved materials, and additional software capabilities, alongside the launch of a new subscription service called Suunto AI Coach.
The Suunto Race 3S boasts a peak display brightness upgrade from 1,000 nits to 2,000 nits, a transition from a stainless steel to a titanium bezel, and an upgraded optical heart rate sensor. Other improvements include increased GPS battery life, expanded internal storage, and support for offline music playback. The retail price has risen from $349 to $599.
While the watch includes new software features like a Tide Widget and expanded map labels, it lacks pre-loaded maps and contactless payment options outside of China. The device is available in three colors: purple, white, and black. Despite its advancements, some users may find the pricing steep given the competition in the market.
