Swansea City Nears Loan Signing of Left-Back as Squad Reshaping Continues
Swansea City is on the verge of signing a left-back on loan as Vitor Matos aims to finalize his squad for the upcoming Championship season. This move follows their recent 1-0 victory over Leganes in a pre-season friendly.
Matos is looking to secure a left-sided defender to provide backup for Josh Tymon, with expectations that the deal will be completed soon. The club is also seeking a central midfielder and additional options at center-back after recent player departures.
So far this summer, Swansea has added attacking midfielders Elijah Just, Joseph Opoku, and Moussa Yeo, along with defender Stephen Welsh. Matos acknowledged the need for more depth in various positions, particularly in midfield, as they prepare for their Carabao Cup match against Birmingham City.
