Swansea City Winger Ronald Out for Six to Eight Weeks Due to Injury
Swansea City has announced that winger Ronald will be unavailable for six to eight weeks due to a hamstring injury. The 25-year-old sustained the injury while playing as an emergency right-back in the recent match against West Ham United.
Ronald has made six appearances this season, scoring twice, and his absence could mean missing up to 10 games for the Championship leaders. He had recently re-established himself in the squad after a failed transfer to Millwall.
Head coach Vitor Matos expressed disappointment over the injury but emphasized the need to utilize the squad effectively. With Ronald out, there may be an opportunity for on-loan Manchester City player Jeremy Monga to join the matchday squad. Matos also addressed speculation regarding his future amid reports linking him to Crystal Palace, reaffirming his commitment to Swansea.
