Sydney Swans coach Dean Cox expressed disappointment regarding an incident at a Melbourne hotel that has led to a police investigation. The allegations involve several players and were reported to have occurred on Sunday night.

Victoria Police confirmed they are investigating a report of sexual assault at the Pullman Hotel in East Melbourne, where the Swans were staying after their victory over Essendon. The incident has caused the AFL to delay the announcement of the All Australian squad, originally scheduled for today.

Cox stated that the club would provide further updates as more information becomes available. He mentioned that discussions with the players involved had not yet taken place, and it remains uncertain if any sanctions will be imposed by the AFL. Swans chief executive Matthew Pavlich noted that the club is conducting its own inquiries into the situation.
