Sydney Swans to Miss Brodie Grundy as Will Green Debuts
The Sydney Swans will be without their key ruckman Brodie Grundy for the match against Port Adelaide on Saturday, as he is absent for personal reasons following the birth of his child.
Will Green, who was selected with the 16th pick in the 2023 AFL Draft, will make his debut after an impressive performance in the VFL, where he recorded 41 hitouts in a recent match. This season, Green has averaged 11 disposals and 28 hitouts over five games, despite missing the first half of the season due to an injury.
Dean Cox, the Swans' coach, expressed confidence in Green's abilities, highlighting his competitive nature and mobility. The Swans aim to secure a victory against Port Adelaide to maintain their position in the top two and enhance their chances of a home qualifying final.
