Tadej Pogacar Dominates Stage Four of Vuelta a Espana

Tadej Pogacar achieved a remarkable victory in the fourth stage of the Vuelta a Espana, marking his first participation in the event since 2019. The Slovenian cyclist completed the 104.8km mountainous stage in Andorra la Vella in two hours, 40 minutes, and 35 seconds, finishing two minutes and 39 seconds ahead of Jarno Widar.

Starting the day with a nine-second lead, Pogacar increased his advantage to three minutes and 21 seconds in the general classification. He executed a decisive move with 50km remaining, breaking away from the peloton and maintaining his lead throughout the stage. This victory represents the largest margin of his Grand Tour career.

Following a previous stage that was abandoned due to severe hailstorms, Pogacar's performance showcased his strength and strategy. He is now on track to potentially lead the Grand Tour from start to finish, a feat not accomplished since 1994. The next stage will cover 173.3km, starting in Falset and concluding in Roquetes.
