Tadej Pogačar in Contract Talks with UAE for Extension Beyond 2030

Tadej Pogačar is currently in discussions with UAE Emirates-XRG regarding a potential contract extension that would extend beyond his existing agreement, which runs until 2030. His agent, Alex Carera, confirmed the negotiations but stated that no deal has been signed yet.

The talks follow reports from journalist Daniel Benson about Pogačar's intention to remain with UAE. Carera indicated that discussions are ongoing and that the specifics of the new contract, including its duration, remain undecided. Further meetings are planned in Monaco with team officials to finalize the details.

Pogačar, who has been with UAE since 2019, is considered one of the highest-paid cyclists, with a salary estimated at over €8 million annually. His recent successes, including a record-tying fifth yellow jersey at the Tour de France, may enhance his negotiating leverage as he aims to continue racing into his mid-30s.
