Tampa Bay Buccaneers Struggle with 0-4 Start and Rookie Quarterback
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have started the season poorly with a 0-4 record and will not have quarterback Baker Mayfield available for their Thursday Night Football matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.
In an effort to secure their first win, the Buccaneers will rely on undrafted rookie Jaylon Daniels as their starting quarterback. Running back Bucky Irving, who had a standout rookie season with 1,122 yards and eight touchdowns in 2024, is expected to return to form after struggling last year and this season with only 241 yards and one touchdown.
Dallas has been vulnerable defensively, allowing an average of 150.3 rushing yards per game and 28.0 points per game, while also struggling to pressure quarterbacks with just four sacks this season.
