Tanisha Wright Sets Expectations for Lady Lions' Basketball Team
At the local media day for Penn State women's basketball, head coach Tanisha Wright discussed her approach as she prepares for her inaugural season with the Lady Lions.
Wright leads a roster of 11 players, including only one returning member, and is focused on building relationships while clearly communicating her expectations. Assistant coach Marlow Davis emphasized that players are expected to compete consistently on the court and maintain accountability in their academic and campus conduct.
Wright encourages her players to be playmakers and is open to experimenting with different lineups due to the team's limited bench. As they adapt to her new system, mistakes are expected, and the coaching staff utilizes film to aid in player development. The Lady Lions will begin their season against Cleveland State on November 2 at the Bryce Jordan Center.
