Tanner McKee to Start for Eagles Against Panthers
Tanner McKee, the quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles, is set to make his first significant start in the NFL this Sunday against the Carolina Panthers, following the ruling out of Jalen Hurts due to a blood clot.
While McKee has previously started two games in the last two seasons when the Eagles had already secured playoff positions, he has not played in a meaningful regular-season game until now. The Eagles recently released experienced backup quarterback Andy Dalton, and there are indications they may seek to re-sign him given the current need for another quarterback.
The only other quarterback on the Eagles' roster is Cole Payton, a rookie who has shown potential but has limited starting experience at the collegiate level, making him less likely to be ready to lead an NFL team immediately.
