Tarik Skubal to Make Dodgers Debut Against Cubs
The Los Angeles Dodgers have acquired two-time Cy Young Award-winner Tarik Skubal from the Detroit Tigers, shaking up the MLB landscape. Skubal's debut for the Dodgers is scheduled for Tuesday night at Wrigley Field, where he will face the Chicago Cubs.
In the trade, the Dodgers sent three prospects to the Tigers, including outfielder Zyhir Hope, along with right-handers River Ryan and Brady Smith. Skubal, who has faced the Cubs three times in his career, holds a 4.12 ERA against them over 19 2/3 innings.
His last outing for the Tigers was a loss against the Orioles, where he pitched 6 2/3 innings, allowing three runs and striking out six, marking his 1,000th career strikeout. This will be Skubal's first start at Wrigley Field.
