Taylen Green Joins Cleveland Browns Roster
Rookie quarterback Taylen Green, known for his time at Arkansas, has made the Cleveland Browns roster, as reported by Mary Kay Cabot. This decision follows the inclusion of second-year quarterback Dillon Gabriel, who is expected to serve as a backup behind starter Deshaun Watson.
In his only game action during the preseason, Green completed five of seven passes for 27 yards and rushed eight times for 66 yards. His performance impressed the coaching staff enough to earn him a place on the team.
During his final season at Arkansas, Green recorded 2,714 passing yards, 19 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions, alongside 777 rushing yards and eight touchdowns. Despite concerns regarding his decision-making and risky passes, analysts see potential in his dual-threat capabilities. Browns head coach Todd Monken has not confirmed whether the team will keep four quarterbacks as the NFL roster cut deadline approaches.
