Taylor Barnard Joins Fortescue Zero Racing for Formula E 2026/27 Season
Taylor Barnard has secured his place in Formula E by signing with Fortescue Zero Racing for the upcoming 2026/27 season, which will introduce the Gen4 era.
The 22-year-old driver, previously with McLaren and DS Penske, was left without a team after DS Automobiles exited the series. Barnard expressed his desire to continue in Formula E and has now become Fortescue's inaugural signing ahead of testing scheduled for November.
Fortescue Zero Racing's team principal, Jim Wright, praised Barnard for his potential and racecraft, emphasizing the team's ambition to compete at the forefront of the championship. The season is set to commence in Jeddah this December, contingent on the regional situation, and will conclude in Tokyo in July.
