Taylor Knibb Secures Fourth 70.3 World Championship Title

Taylor Knibb claimed her fourth IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship title in Nice, France, on Saturday, completing the race in 4:19:24. She executed a strong performance, starting with a solid swim and then establishing a significant lead during the bike segment.

Knibb exited the water among the leaders and quickly took control on the bike, building a lead of over six minutes by the end of the cycling portion. She maintained her advantage during the half-marathon, finishing with a remarkable split of 1:17:56. Julie Derron from Switzerland finished second with a time of 4:23:30, while Alanis Siffert secured third place at 4:25:10.

The race saw defending champion Lucy Charles-Barclay withdraw, allowing others to compete for the top positions. Knibb's performance was highlighted by her ability to extend her lead throughout the race, showcasing her strength in both cycling and running.
