Team Europe has regained the Solheim Cup after defeating the United States 15 to 13 in Den Bosch, Netherlands. The decisive moments unfolded during the Sunday singles matches at Bernardus Golf, where Lottie Woad secured a crucial point by winning her match, ensuring Europe reached the necessary 14 1/2 points for victory.
Woad's victory was followed shortly by Carlota Ciganda, who also contributed to the win with a 4-and-2 victory over Jennifer Kupcho. The European team celebrated their success with cheers and Champagne as they completed their matches. Captain Anna Nordqvist and the team members joined in a collective celebration on the 18th fairway.
This victory marks Europe's third win in the last five Solheim Cup editions, while the U.S. team continues to seek a win on foreign soil since 2015. U.S. captain Angela Stanford acknowledged the strong performance of the European team, noting their determination and skill throughout the competition.
