Teddy Bridgewater Reflects on Retirement After Notable Saints Tenure

Teddy Bridgewater has decided to retire after a brief training camp with the Lions, concluding an NFL career that lasted over ten years and included time with eight teams.

Bridgewater's most notable achievement came in 2019 when he stepped in as the starting quarterback for the Saints during Drew Brees' five-game absence, leading the team to a perfect 5-0 record. At that point, the Saints had just suffered a loss to the Rams and were 1-1, making Bridgewater's performance crucial for the team's season.

Dan Campbell, now head coach of the Lions and an assistant on the Saints during that time, praised Bridgewater's reliability in tough situations.
