Ten Indian Boxers Compete for Gold at CWG 2026
At the Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow, India is set to witness a significant day in boxing, with ten Indian boxers competing for gold medals. This follows their victories in the semi-finals, ensuring at least silver medals for each participant.
Leading the Indian team is Lovlina Borgohain, a bronze medallist from the Tokyo Olympics, who will face Emma-Sue Greentree from Australia in the women's 75kg final. Other notable matches include Sakshi Chaudhary against Ruby White from England in the women's 51kg final, and Jaismine Lamboria competing against Michaela Walsh from Northern Ireland in the women's 57kg final.
In addition to the women's events, four Indian men will also compete for gold. Jadumani Singh Mandengbam will take on Jye Dixon from Australia in the men's 55kg final, while Sachin Siwach faces Namibia's Tryagain Ndevelo in the men's 60kg final. The finals are scheduled throughout the day, with the first bout starting at 3:30 PM IST.
