Tendayi Darikwa Out for Season with ACL Injury
Tendayi Darikwa, the captain of Lincoln City, has been ruled out for the entire season following a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament. The injury occurred during the first half of a Championship match against Portsmouth, which ended in a 3-1 defeat for Lincoln.
The 34-year-old defender is set to undergo surgery as part of his recovery process. Darikwa has been a key player for Lincoln, having joined the club from Apollon Limassol in the summer of 2024 and making 104 appearances since then.
Last season, he led Lincoln to the League One title, marking the club's return to the Championship after a 65-year absence. An official statement from the club expressed full support for Darikwa during his rehabilitation.
