Tennessee Volunteers Honor Dolly Parton with Helmet Sticker
The Tennessee Volunteers will pay tribute to Dolly Parton this season by wearing a special helmet sticker, as announced by coach Josh Heupel on Monday.
Parton, a celebrated country music icon and Tennessee native, passed away on August 25 at the age of 80 after a brief illness. Heupel acknowledged her significant impact on the community and her pride in her East Tennessee roots.
The helmet sticker, designed in the Volunteers' signature orange, features a butterfly reminiscent of the Dollywood logo, with 'Dolly' inscribed in white. The Volunteers, currently ranked No. 20 in the AP Top 25 preseason poll, will debut the sticker during their season opener against Furman on Saturday.
