Terry McLaurin Carted Off with Knee Injury During Game
Terry McLaurin, a wide receiver for the Commanders, was carted off the field due to a left knee injury during a game. The injury occurred with 2:16 left in the first half while he was being closely guarded by 49ers cornerback Deommodore Lenoir.
As McLaurin's left leg gave out, he fell to the ground and appeared to be in considerable pain, prompting the team's medical staff to apply a vacuum splint before assisting him onto the cart. Players from both teams expressed their support as he was taken off the field.
In a separate incident, Commanders wide receiver Stefon Diggs received an illegal hit from 49ers safety Malik Mustapha, which went unpenalized. Diggs injured his ring finger but managed to return to the game after receiving treatment.
