Terry McLaurin Out for Season Due to Knee Injury
The Washington Commanders will continue their season without star wide receiver Terry McLaurin, who sustained a serious knee injury during a game against the San Francisco 49ers.
McLaurin was carted off the field after suffering a torn patellar tendon, as confirmed by Dan Quinn on Tuesday. He is scheduled for surgery and will not return this season. The injury occurred while McLaurin was engaged with 49ers cornerback Deommodore Lenoir, leading to a painful fall.
This season, McLaurin had recorded 15 receptions for 230 yards and one touchdown over five games. His absence is significant for the Commanders, who currently hold a 1-4-1 record. The team will have a bye in Week 7 to reassess their strategy moving forward without him.
