Texans Designate Tank Dell, Kayden McDonald, and Braden Smith for Return to Practice

Wide receiver Tank Dell has returned to the practice field for the Houston Texans as the team opens practice windows for him and two other players.

Head coach DeMeco Ryans indicated that Dell is expected to start the process of coming off injured reserve this week, with the team officially designating him for return on Wednesday. Alongside Dell, defensive tackle Kayden McDonald and offensive tackle Braden Smith have also received this designation.

Dell has been sidelined since suffering a significant knee injury late in the 2024 season, during which he recorded 98 receptions for 1,376 yards and 10 touchdowns across his first two seasons. McDonald, a second-round draft pick this year, has been recovering from an ankle injury, while Smith has been out due to a foot injury.
