Texans Place WR Jayden Higgins on Injured Reserve

The Houston Texans announced on Friday that wide receiver Jayden Higgins has been placed on injured reserve, sidelining him for the entire season.

This injury, a torn ACL, occurred during a joint practice with the Raiders on Tuesday when Higgins landed awkwardly in the end zone during a drill.

Higgins, who started 10 games last season and recorded 525 receiving yards along with six touchdowns, was anticipated to play a key role alongside Nico Collins. With his absence, teammates Xavier Hutchinson, Tank Dell, and Jaylin Noel will take on greater responsibilities in the Texans' offense, as Dell and Noel are also recovering from injuries.
