The Houston Texans have released kicker Chris Freeman following his participation in a preseason game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Freeman was signed by the Texans on Wednesday to kick in the game, where he successfully made an extra point during the team's 27-7 defeat. He is an undrafted free agent who previously played college football at Indiana and Connecticut, where he achieved notable success, including making all 101 extra points and 43 of 52 field goals in his last two seasons.
