Texas Longhorns Offensive Lineman Cole Hutson Gains Eligibility
The Texas Longhorns have achieved a significant eligibility victory as offensive lineman Cole Hutson is set to rejoin the team. This announcement was made following an agreement with the NCAA.
Hutson, who stands 6-foot-5 and weighs 308 pounds, has been part of the Longhorns since 2022, having committed as a four-star recruit. He will now enter his fifth year with the team, bringing valuable experience after starting ten games last season and playing a total of 13 games as a freshman.
His return comes amid a wave of athletes from the class of 2022 pursuing additional eligibility due to the NCAA's new 5-in-5 rule. Despite going undrafted in the 2026 NFL Draft, Hutson's experience is expected to benefit the Longhorns as they prepare for the upcoming season.
