Texas Rangers Call Up Nolan Kingham for MLB Debut

The Texas Rangers have announced the selection of Nolan Kingham's contract from Triple-A Round Rock, positioning him for his MLB debut. This move comes as the team optioned fellow right-handed pitcher Luis Curvelo back to Triple-A.

Kingham, 29, was originally drafted by the Atlanta Braves in 2018 and spent several years in their minor league system before being released in 2024. He then played in the Mexican League, where he achieved a notable 1.82 ERA in his first six starts with the Sultanes de Monterrey. After being released by the Sultanes in late May, he signed a minor league deal with the Rangers.

During his time with Round Rock, Kingham recorded a 6.99 ERA over 11 games, including 10 starts. Despite mixed results, he demonstrated an improved strikeout rate, highlighted by a recent performance where he struck out nine batters in five innings. Curvelo's recent outing for the Rangers saw him allow four runs in two innings, prompting the team to seek a fresh option in Kingham.
