Thierry Neuville Critiques Speed of Rally Finland Amid Crashes

Thierry Neuville raised concerns about the speed of the recent Rally Finland, citing an unusual number of crashes during the event. The 2024 world rally champion noted that the rally's average speed reached 128.2 km/h, making it the second fastest in WRC history.

Neuville, who experienced a minor accident himself, suggested that the rally should be slower, stating that the roads were excessively fast and straight. His comments came after several drivers, including Sebastien Ogier and Elfyn Evans, also faced difficulties during the race.

In contrast, Evans and other competitors disagreed with Neuville's view, arguing that crashes are part of the sport and that drivers are simply pushing their limits. They acknowledged the risks involved but emphasized that the high speeds are a characteristic of Rally Finland.
