Third Planet Coffee Brewers to Open in State College

Third Planet Coffee Brewers is preparing to open in State College at 300 Allen Street, with construction currently underway. Owner Frank Yeager aims for a mid-October launch for the 950-square-foot coffee shop.

The establishment will feature a rotating selection of beans from specialty roasters nationwide, starting with coffee sourced from Little Wolf Coffee, Abracadabra Coffee Co., and Push Pull. The menu will focus on light-roast, single-origin coffees and include espresso-based drinks like cappuccinos and lattes.

While the shop will not have a full kitchen, Yeager plans to offer pastries from local bakeries. The space is being designed to create a lounge atmosphere with high-top seating and banquettes. Once operational, Third Planet Coffee Brewers will serve customers from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekends.
