THON 5K Launches Dream Forward Campaign at Penn State

The annual THON 5K event commenced on Sunday at Penn State, marking the launch of the Dream Forward campaign. Students and community members participated in a 3.1-mile run and walk across the campus.

Prior to the race, attendees enjoyed a range of activities and games designed to entertain and support THON families. The event featured a performance by Dancer Relations and included therapy dogs to accompany participants.

The Nittany Lion mascot led the runners at the starting line, and the 5K officially began at 11:30 a.m. The event was successful in providing a fun atmosphere while also serving as a fundraiser ahead of THON's major 46-hour dance event scheduled for February.
