Chet Holmgren, speaking at a charity event in Southern California, expressed his feelings about losing his teammates, likening it to losing a family member.

Dort and Wiggins were traded to the Atlanta Hawks, while Joe was sent to the Detroit Pistons as part of a series of cost-cutting measures. General manager Sam Presti successfully acquired seven second-round picks and managed to re-sign center Isaiah Hartenstein for three additional years at $75 million.

Holmgren conveyed his trust in the front office's ability to reshape the team for another championship run after their recent defeat in the Western Conference finals.
