Tiger Woods' Driver's License Suspended for Five Years Following DUI Plea Deal

Tiger Woods has had his driver's license suspended for five years after reaching a plea deal on Wednesday regarding his DUI arrest in March. A judge in Martin County, Florida, imposed the suspension after Woods pled no contest to a lesser charge of reckless driving and refusal to submit to a lawful test.

The 50-year-old golfer, accompanied by his girlfriend and attorney, was also ordered to pay $1,500 in court fines following a guilty verdict for careless driving. Woods was arrested after his vehicle collided with a stationary truck trailer on March 17, an incident he attributed to distraction while adjusting the radio.

Following the arrest, Woods announced he would be stepping away from golf to focus on his health and seek treatment. He spent over two months in a rehabilitation clinic in Zurich, Switzerland, after initially pleading not guilty to DUI and property damage charges. Despite passing a breathalyzer test, he showed signs of impairment at the scene, leading to his arrest.
