During the hearing, Woods pleaded guilty to reckless driving and refusal to submit to a lawful test, resulting in a five-year suspension of his driver's license. The original DUI charge was reduced, and Woods was ordered to pay fines totaling $518. Judge Darren Steele emphasized that the suspension is intended for public safety and warned Woods against any violations.

The incident occurred on March 27 when Woods' vehicle collided with a truck, causing significant damage but no injuries. Following the crash, deputies discovered hydrocodone pills in his possession, although a breath analyzer indicated no alcohol consumption. Woods had initially pleaded not guilty, but the case progressed to this resolution after months of legal proceedings.
