Tiger Woods to Appear in Court for DUI Charges

Tiger Woods is scheduled to appear in person before a judge on September 8 at 8:30 a.m. ET in Martin County, Florida, marking his first court appearance since a car accident on March 27.

Woods faces two misdemeanor charges related to DUI with property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test. He has pleaded not guilty to these charges. Following the accident in Jupiter Island, police found hydrocodone pills in his possession and noted signs of impairment, although a breathalyzer indicated no alcohol in his system.

The investigative process has been prolonged as prosecutors sought access to Woods' hospital records from the day of the incident. His court date has been postponed multiple times during this period. Woods has also been receiving specialized treatment in Zurich, Switzerland, after the accident. His attorney, Douglas Duncan, is pursuing a jury trial.
