Spencer Torkelson initiated a five-run 12th inning with a two-run home run, marking his 21st homer of the season. Javier Báez followed with a bases-clearing double, contributing to the Tigers' scoring surge. John Peck, in his first two career hits, drove in three runs, while Hao-Yu Lee, Riley Greene, and Max Clark also added RBIs.

This victory marked only the Tigers' second win in their last seven games, as they scored more than two runs for the first time during that stretch. The Twins, who had won their previous three games, fell to 4 for 21 with runners in scoring position and remain 3.5 games behind Cleveland for the third American League wild-card spot.
