Tijjani Reijnders Set to Join Al-Qadsiah from Manchester City for £52 Million
Dutch midfielder Tijjani Reijnders is close to transferring from Manchester City to Saudi Pro League team Al-Qadsiah, with reports indicating that the two clubs have reached an agreement valued at approximately £51.2 million.
The 28-year-old, who joined City from AC Milan for £46.5 million just 14 months ago, has approved the move, marking a swift conclusion to his time at the Etihad Stadium.
Reijnders had a promising start in England, contributing seven goals and eight assists in 50 matches during his first season, which included winning the FA Cup. However, his performance declined in the latter part of the season. With Manchester City revamping their midfield and following interest from various European clubs, Al-Qadsiah has acted quickly to secure the midfielder, allowing City to make a profit on the transfer.
