Titans Coach Robert Saleh Continues to Support QB Cam Ward Amid Struggles

Robert Saleh, head coach of the Tennessee Titans, has reiterated his support for second-year quarterback Cam Ward, despite the team's struggles this season. Following a 27-24 loss to the Cleveland Browns, the Titans' record now stands at 1-6, raising questions about Ward's performance as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Ward's record as a starter is now 4-20, placing him among the quarterbacks with the most losses in their first two seasons in NFL history. In the recent game, he completed 20 of 31 passes for 181 yards and one interception, which Saleh defended, stating that Ward played well despite needing improvement. The Titans' defense allowed 491 yards, contributing to the loss.

Ward's performance has been inconsistent this season, ranking low in various passing statistics. However, Saleh emphasizes the potential for improvement, citing examples of other quarterbacks who turned their careers around after rocky starts. The Titans will face the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 8, a game that could be pivotal for Ward's future with the team.
