Titans Coach Robert Saleh Reflects on Defense After Preseason Win
The Tennessee Titans secured a 19-16 victory against the Seattle Seahawks in a preseason game on Sunday night, despite their starting defense allowing two touchdowns in the first quarter.
Elijah Arroyo caught a 36-yard touchdown pass from Drew Lock, followed by Jacardia Wright's 69-yard rushing touchdown. After the game, Titans head coach Robert Saleh provided an unexpected perspective on these defensive lapses, acknowledging the need for improvement while also expressing a positive outlook on the overall performance.
Saleh noted that while the two plays were disappointing, they presented an opportunity for the defense to learn and grow. He emphasized that the team would address these issues before their regular season opener against the New York Jets on September 13. The Titans are currently favored by three points in that matchup.
